Calsonic Kansei Holds 80th Anniversary Commemorative Celebrations

SAITAMA, Japan - September 5, 2018 - Calsonic Kansei held an event to commemorate its 80th anniversary at the Urawa Royal Pines Hotel on August 31, 2018. The commemorative celebrations were attended by a total of more than 200 guests, including Kiyoshi Ueda, governor of Saitama Prefecture, Hayato Shimizu, mayor of Saitama-city, as well as a number of parties from local governments, corporations, and other organizations.

In his opening address, Beda Bolzenius, president and CEO of Calsonic Kansei, revealed his ambitions for further growth: "As outlined in our Compass 2021 Medium-Term Business Plan, at Calsonic Kansei our goal is to become a systems solutions provider that focuses on cabin innovations and energy management, both through technological innovation--which is part of our corporate DNA--and through our passion for monozukuri. The passion, inspiration, hard work and contributions of our employees have been the key to our company's success thus far. By enacting reforms in a proactive manner, and by further strengthening our corporate unity and organization from an international perspective, Calsonic Kansei will seek to become a global company in the true meaning of the phrase."

On the occasion of the company's 80th anniversary, President Bolzenius also announced to strengthen its initiatives in environmental protection for the future , 80 years from now*, and presented Michio Hirose, managing director and vice president of OISCA (the Organization for Industrial, Spiritual and Cultural Advancement-International), with mangrove seedlings. The commemorative celebrations were a resounding success, and Chairman of the Board Hiroshi Moriya concluded the event by thanking the customers who attended for their continued support.
