Calsonic Kansei Corporation (President & CEO: Hiroshi Moriya; Headquarters: Kita-ku, Saitama-city) welcomed 221 new employees at an Initiation Ceremony held jointly with seven other group companies* today at 10:00 AM at the company's R&D center and headquarters in Kita-Ku, Saitama City. This is the first time Calsonic Kansei Corporation has held its Initiation Ceremony jointly with group companies.

Below is a summary of the welcome address given by President and CEO Hiroshi Moriya.

"Right now, I am happy about two things. The first is that as of today, Calsonic Kansei is embarking on its journey to become a truly independent Monozukuri company. I hope we can enjoy together the joy of being able to build our own Calsonic Kansei. The other is being able to have a joint Initiation Ceremony for our new employees starting from this year. Although you will all be working at your respective companies, each and every company plays an important role within our Group, and I hope all 221 of you will become 'One Team.'

I imagine all of you are feeling a sense of nervous excitement. I hope you will remember that anxiety is another side of having expectations, and that you learn to enjoy changes. Although you will face many changes in the future, if you continue to hold on to this feeling of nervous excitement, you can turn changes into opportunities and grow with them. I hope you will remember this feeling as you move ahead in your work.

In order to stay ahead of the competition in this keenly competitive automotive industry, there is a need to think up new dreams, boldly take on challenges, and have an ability to get things done while holding onto our passions. This comes from the curiosity of each and every employee, and I hope you will continue to hold on to the curiosity you have now. With curiosity, I think you will be able to build up the Calsonic Kansei identity amidst a working life full of excitement.


The most important element in Monozukuri is quality; for people, the most important element is trust. At Calsonic Kansei, you can engage in many challenges from a young age. At times, you will make mistakes?but mistakes can be redeemed, and our company is the sort of company that will give you opportunities to redeem yourselves. The loss of trust, on the other hand, will most likely prove fatal to you as a professional. If you lose the trust of your colleagues, not only will you miss opportunities for further work, but you will need to spend a huge amount of time and effort to win this trust back. If you carry out what you are told to do without fail, and report back on them, you will earn greater trust from those around you. There is no doubt that this will lead to opportunities for bigger jobs. I hope you remember this well, and enjoy a bright and cheerful working life at our company."
