Calsonic Kansei Corporation (President & CEO: Hiroshi Moriya; Headquarters: Kita-ku, Saitama City) will continue to support Student Formula Japan this year. Student Formula Japan 2016 will be held from September 6 to 10 at ECOPA (Ogasayama Sports Park) in Shizuoka Prefecture.

Student Formula Japan is a competition where students form teams to plan, design, and construct smaller versions of Formula-style racing cars. Teams will be evaluated not just on the driving performance of their cars, but also in other areas such as concept, design, and cost. The competition seeks to provide a platform to nurture people for the future development of the automotive industry.

Calsonic Kansei has been a sponsor of the competition for 10 consecutive years, as well as being involved in the eventfs organization as a member of the Implementation Committee and through dispatch of three people to assist with running the event. Calsonic Kansei will also support the nurturing of future generation of engineers by setting up a sponsorfs tent where products are displayed and interacting with the students.
