Calsonic Kansei Corporation (President & CEO: Hiroshi Moriya; Headquarters: Kita-ku,Saitama-city) today announces that it opened its Group plant in Huadu District, Guangzhou,China to the public on March 17. Institutional investors and security analysts were invited to attend a plant tour.

Calsonic Kansei established its Guangzhou site in 2004. The Guangzhou plants produces exhaust systems, interior products, climate control systems, as well as cockpit modules which combine various individual parts; at present, they have the capacity to produce sufficient parts for 800,000 vehicles per year. In FY2016, production is scheduled to begin on heat exchangers and, as demand continues to grow in the China region, the Guanzhou sites are increasing in importance.
