SAITAMA, Japan - November 15, 2013- Calsonic Kansei Corporation (CK) announced the
establishment of its new Engineering Center, Calsonic Kansei (Shanghai) Automotive
Technology R&D Co. Ltd, Guangzhou Branch. This new Engineering Center is located in the
premise of Calsonic Kansei (Guangzhou) Corporation - Headquarters/Huadu Plant in Huadu
District Guangzhou, China. Its opening ceremony was held on November 1st.

The new Engineering Center will be CK's core base for vehicle-level design optimization for
new models by fully utilizing its location close to the main customers' sites. The Center will
also undertake the role to lead the Monozukuri Competitiveness No.1 Activities of
Guangzhou Region, Zhengzhou Region, and Xiangyang Region. The first Engineering
Center, Calsonic Kansei (Shanghai) Automotive Technology R&D Co. Ltd. will enhance its
material engineering capabilities as well as product development and the Monozukuri
Competitiveness No.1 Activities for Wuxi Region, Haimen Region, and Shanghai.
