I have been appointed as President & CEO of Calsonic Kansei Corporation (CK), effective April 1st, 2013.
FY2012 was a very difficult year for CK, as it was the first year that the company saw slowdown in profit growth, since after the Lehman crisis. In such circumstances, I am appointed to the position and am excited to assume such a great responsibility. I will devote all my energies to successful development of our company. I would like to ask for your support and continued cooperation.

As mentioned at the beginning, FY2012 was the year of difficulty. During the year, we have identified various issues,
of which causes are related to our fundamental principles as Monozukuri company, and these are a huge risk for CK. However, on the opposite side, it is certainly a great opportunity toward the future as we have been able to detect the risk. To change this risk to opportunity, all the regions, Japan, North America, Europe, China, and other Asian countries, are implementing various activities to promote Monozukuri way and taking action to improve our behavior and rofitability. I am confident that these activities will bear fruit this year. To be more precise, it is the year when we have to achieve results. It does not mean that we only recover from crisis. Rather, we have defined the right path to a "Great Company", one of the corporate initiatives of "GX4 T10" and so it is the year when we must prove that we are proceeding on the right track.

I love CK, and I strongly believe that CK has a very precious asset, built with our global team members, such as "Corporate Vision",CK's action guideline "CK WAY", and lots more. With this asset and with passion, with "love", I will have honest communication with all the CK members across the globe, and pledge that I will lead CK to being a Great Company.
