Donated Traffic Safety Backpack Covers To All First-Year Students At Saitama City Elementary Schools

[March 27, 2020 - Saitama]

Leading automotive supplier, MARELLI, has donated traffic safety backpack covers to all first-year students entering municipal elementary schools in FY2020 in Saitama City, where the Company's headquarters is located.

With the aim of preventing traffic accidents, Saitama City distributes backpack covers to all new students at its municipal elementary schools every year. As a corporation involved in the automotive field, MARELLI consulted with the city about contributing to traffic safety, and as a result has been donating these traffic safety backpack covers since 2018. In response to the wishes of the city and the users, the covers were improved to be more durable and a reflective material has been incorporated into the cover itself. The donated covers will be distributed by Saitama City to a total of 11,203 new students (projected number as of February 21, 2020).

MARELLI will continue to contribute to creating a safer and better society.
