Leading automotive supplier, MARELLI, today announced will continue to sponsor Hoshino Racing LLC in fiscal 2020 and join "AUTOBACS SUPER GT 2020 SERIES GT 500 Class".

Marelli has been supporting TEAM IMPUL since 1982, as the world's longest title sponsor¹ of motor sports. The 1982 sponsorship began under Calsonic Kansei, its predecessor brand. In the "Super GT" category, the team has continued to join the races since it was established in 1994and it will celebrate the team's 200^th race at the Race Fuji in May this year².

Marelli continues to research and develop "heat exchanger systems for motor racing" which can provide high performance under harsh race environments, and "air conditioning system for racing car" which supports drivers to achieve in-car optimal performance. The expertise accumulated in the races contributes greatly to performance improvement of products for general market vehicles.

For the 2020 season, TEAM IMPUL, led by Hoshino Kazuyoshi, creates a new team with drivers Sasaki Daiki in his 3^rd year and Hiramine Kazuki, as a young and promising new partner, aiming to recapture the Series Champions. The body color of the "Calsonic IMPUL GT-R" will inherit the traditional Calsonic Blue, and the logo of "MARELLI" shall be added.

Hoshino Kazuyoshi, Manager TEAM IMPUL, expressed his enthusiasm for the 2020 season as follows.

Last year it was an unparalleled struggle, but this year the GT-R car has been renewed and the drivers become also fresh with Sasaki and Hiramine.
