SAITAMA, Japan - May 9, 2019 - Since FY2017, the global auto parts provider and leading automotive supplier, Calsonic Kansei Corporation (President & CEO: Beda Bolzenius, Headquarters: Kita-ku, Saitama City) has been participating in the Saitama Window to the World scholarship established by Saitama Prefecture with its Calsonic Kansei Next-Generation Scholarship. On May 8, 2019, Saitama Prefecture and the Saitama International Association held the 2019 Letter of Appreciation Presentation Ceremony at the Saitama governor's office.

Through this scholarship program, Calsonic Kansei is supporting the development of globally competitive personnel who contribute to future innovation and monozukuri through overseas study. For the recruited course for FY2019, the scholarship will be given toward overseas experience activities of one month or more for students utilizing knowledge or technologies from their university studies. Support will also continue for the student who qualified for the degree course two years ago.

■ Outline of the Calsonic Kansei Next-Generation Scholarship
● Purpose:
This scholarship supports people who are highly committed and are willing to take on challenges that help to create a sustainable society and invigorate the industry in Saitama Prefecture through world-leading technological innovation and monozukuri.
● Offered course for FY2019
Eligibility: Students with strong ambition to apply the knowledge and technology from their university studies to work in the manufacturing industry in the future
(Overseas experience activities of 1 month or more)
* STEM students with an interest in monozukuri. Students from single-parent households or the foster care system are especially encouraged to apply.
Scholarship amount: 550,000 yen
Number of scholarship available: 1
Application period: April 2 to May 17, 2019 (Applications must arrive by 5PM.)
