Calsonic Kansei Appoints Beda Bolzenius as Chief Executive Officer
Johnson Controls veteran to lead Company in its next phase of growth

SAITAMA, Japan -- March 5, 2018 --Calsonic Kansei, a leading manufacturer of automotive parts worldwide, today announced the appointment of Beda Bolzenius to lead Calsonic Kansei as President and CEO, effective April 1. He assumes the role as the Company's current CEO, Hiroshi Moriya, transitions to Chairman and Representative Director of Calsonic Kansei. Messrs. Bolzenius and Moriya will be based in Tokyo.

Mr. Bolzenius joins Calsonic Kansei after a distinguished career at global auto parts maker Johnson Controls. He was most recently Vice Chairman of the company's Asia Pacific operations, in addition to holding the role of President of Automotive Experience. He has additionally held various senior roles in the company's US$20 billion automotive division in global markets such as China, Germany and the United States.


Prior to his more than 10 years at Johnson Controls, Mr. Bolzenius spent nearly two decades at Robert Bosch, rising to the position of Division President of the company's Body Electronics unit in Germany.


Calsonic Kansei is a leading supplier of automotive components including cockpit systems, thermal systems, exhaust systems and advanced electronic products. Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi is the primary customer for the Company, which also supplies a variety of other automotive groups including GM, Honda, Jaguar Land Rover, Isuzu, Mazda, and VAG. It operates in markets across the globe and has more than 22,000 employees based at 79 production sites worldwide. The company marks its 80th anniversary in FY2018.


Since Mr. Moriya's appointment as CEO in April 2013, Calsonic Kansei has experienced rapid growth and has continued to break its own profit records. In FY2015, the company exceeded one trillion yen in revenue for the first time in its history.
