Saitama, Japan - April 11, 2018 / Calsonic Kansei Corporation (President & CEO: Beda Bolzenius, Headquarters: Kita-ku, Saitama City) presented traffic safety backpack covers to new students at an entrance ceremony of Saitama City Tsubasa Elementary School (Kita-ku, Saitama City) on April 9th. The covers are designed to reflect car headlights, making children more visible in the road. Calsonic Kansei Corporation is a global supplier of automobile parts, and will be celebrating the 80th anniversary of its foundation this year.

Established in 2009, Tsubasa Elementary School is located in the neighborhood of Calsonic Kansei Corporation's R&D Center and Headquarters. Calsonic Kansei and the school have shared a strong connection since the school's foundation, when Calsonic Kansei donated its gymnasium. On April 9th of this year, Calsonic Kansei promised to contribute to the safety of elementary school students in the community, when company representatives visited and presented the backpack covers to the first graders who enrolled in 2018.
